What types of health issues do you treat? +

We have a diverse group of highly trained health professionals who use a functional and integrative model to address any health condition. Many of our patients come to us having suffered for months to years without a clear diagnosis or treatment plan, even after seeing several specialists. We have a special interest in treating people with complex chronic health conditions and neurologic disorders.

Are you taking new patients? +

Yes, we are now welcoming new patients.

Are your MDs taking new patients? +

We have several MDs at our clinic. Some are taking on new patients, some have a waitlist, it varies over time, so please contact our clinic about availability with our MDs. Our MDs do not take on patients as traditional family doctors or provide Family Doctor services. You are required to have a Family Doctor. Our Integrative and Functional MDs provide support for areas where your Family Doctor can’t help. They works with other members of our team to offer Integrative care and Functional Medicine.

What kind of services do you offer? +

We offer a diverse set of medical services, delivered in collaborative care models to best suit the needs of our patients. Often patients will see 2 or 3 of our practitioners at the same time, which allows each of the practitioners to address your issues.

All of our practitioners use a Functional Medicine approach, leveraging both conventional and complementary techniques, to address root causes of chronic illness and return patients to health.

Our Neurorehab team has a special focus in Functional Neurology and neuroplasticity, and use many exciting treatment and rehabilitation tools, including the ground-breaking PoNSTM device.

What types of practitioners do you have? +

Our collaborative team includes Medical Doctors, Naturopathic Doctors, Chiropractors, Osteopathic Manual Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Holistic Nutritionists, Athletic Therapists and Registered Kinesiologists.

What are the fees? +

Our fees vary depending on the type of service or length of program that might best serve your needs. Our services and programs are tailored to each person. Many of our services may be covered under extended insurance plans. We would be happy to arrange a discovery call with one of our team to find out how to best help.

Do you bill directly to insurance? +

We do not bill directly to insurance. We will provide you with a paid invoice, that includes all the information your insurance company requires to process your claim.

Medeo/Ocean

Medeo: I have a virtual appointment today, I didn’t receive an email with a link, how do I access my appointment? +

You won’t receive an email with a link. You login to your Medeo account. 1 hour before the start time you will see the option to “join appointment” click on this option and you will enter a “virtual waiting room”, your provider will join you when they are ready.

I logged into my Medeo account to make sure I have the link for my appointment tomorrow and I can’t see it a link? +

The link to join your virtual appointment will not appear until 1 hour before the start time.

Setting up your Medeo Account - Important points when creating a Medeo account for your and family members, such as your children or spouse +

First step, please make sure the email address you use when you set up your Medeo account is the same email address you gave us for your patient file. If several members of your family are patients of our clinic, it is important that each patient have their own unique email address for their Medeo account and this must match the email address on their patient file, or messaging and reminders will not work.

I was told I would receive intake forms, but I didn’t get any attachments in the email +

Intake forms are sent out thru an automated email, 7 days prior to your appointment. If you booked an appointment in less than 7 days, they will still be sent out. If you received an automated email confirming your appointment, please read the email completely. Where you see “complete questionnaire” or “confirm appointment” click on this box and you can complete the intake forms online. They will automatically save to your patient chart.

Please fill these out as completely as possible, a few days before your appointment. Some intake forms can take some time, please start when you have time to complete these. If you need to step away, it is best to complete a section. When you go back to the forms, it will take you back to where you left off. If you exit in the middle of a section, you will lose what you’ve entered in that section only. If you skip ahead, you will not have the option to go back. Each section is save as completed or blank when you move onto a new sections.

Method of Payment

Why do you ask for a method of payment +

We have a cancellation policy for patients who cancel last min or don’t show up for an appointment. The fee varies depending on the type of appointment. To avoid a cancellation fee, we require 2 FULL BUSINESS DAYS notice. Business days are Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm.

Some intensive programs at our clinic require a deposit to reserve your spot. Our admin staff can explain this if it applies to your booking.

How will I get a copy of my invoice after an appointment? +

We will process payment to the card on your file and send you a copy of the paid invoice by email for your records

Can I get copies of all my invoices for income tax purposes? +

We cannot re-send individual copies of all invoices; so please keep your copies that we email to you after each appointment. We can send you a statement of your appointments and fees for a calendar year, but cannot re-send each individual invoice.

Online booking requests

I made a request for an appointment online and it was rejected; why? +

There can be several reasons why your online appointment request was rejected; maybe the provider had a change of schedule and is no longer available at that time; if you booked an appointment under your name, but it is actually for someone else, we cannot accept the request. We need to ensure each appointment is booked under the patient’s name and that we have a current and complete file for that patient. Most appointment types can be requested thru our online booking option, but a few can not and require our admin staff to assist with the booking.

If you are having trouble booking your appointment online or it has been rejected, please contact our admin staff and they can take care of the booking for you. They can be reached at 416-494-2288; if you get our voice mail please leave a message.

Can I go online and cancel my upcoming appointment? +

If you booked the appointment online, you will have the option to cancel this yourself. If you booked it over the phone with our admin staff, they will need to cancel this for you

I have questions for my doctor, how do I email them? +

Doctor’s can not reply to individual emails due to security and privacy concerns. We have Messaging available thru Medeo which provides secure messaging between you and your provider. You can also add attachments thru Medeo if you have documents you would like to send to your provider.
